Practice update — right-click duels, new menus & LMS Sumo
A big practice update is live! Dueling is a lot quicker now, menus work much better on Bedrock, and there are new events and arena types to play.
⚔️ Dueling made easy
- Right-click to duel — Right-click someone in the lobby, pick a kit and the number of rounds, and the request is sent. No commands needed. Party leaders get an Invite button instead.
- Custom kit duels — Duel someone with your own custom kit using
/ckd <player>.
📱 New menus (great for Bedrock)
- Graphical menus — Turn on Graphical menus in
/settingsto get clean button menus instead of inventories for settings, duels, kits and rounds. You can even type a player's name to duel them. On by default for Bedrock players. - Invite popups — Get a popup with Accept and Decline when someone invites you to a duel or party. Press Esc to close it, and you can still accept from chat.
- Clearer settings — Every option in
/settingsnow shows ON or OFF right on the button. - Spawn items stay put — Your lobby items can no longer be dropped or moved by accident.
🏆 Events & gamemodes
- LMS Sumo — A new hosted event: the last player standing on the sumo platform wins.
- Spleef arenas — The snow layers crack and break away during the fight, faster as fewer players are left.
- KOTH — When you die you spectate for 5 seconds, then respawn at your team's spawn with team-colored armor, a glow on your teammates and 5 seconds of spawn protection.
- Juggernaut — Eliminated players now spectate, and the juggernaut glows so everyone can spot them.
- BedWars & Bridges — A chat message when a bed is destroyed, and goal announcements in Bridges.
- Party fights — Party leaders can end a party fight with
/party cancelwithout disbanding the party, and party fights now pick an arena that fits your group size. - Killstreaks per kit — Your current and best killstreak are now tracked for every kit.
🛠️ Bug fixes

Weekly Community Events!
We're excited to announce a new initiative for the Avesclub community: weekly weekend events!
From now on, we'll be aiming to host regular events on the weekends. Events can range from short competitions lasting just a few hours to larger events that run for up to 7 days.
Every event will feature its own unique gameplay, objectives, and prizes. We're starting with our new Survival Contracts event, but we have many more ideas planned for the future.
- Weekend events ranging from a few hours to a maximum of 7 days
- Prizes for every event winner
- Possible rewards include free Minecraft servers, free HugoSMP Premium, free - DonutSMP Premium, and more
- All upcoming events will be announced on Discord and listed on our website
- Community event suggestions are welcome
Have a great event idea?
Send a DM to RobinAves on Discord with your concept. Whether it's PvP, Survival, Parkour, Building, or something completely unique, we'd love to hear your suggestions.

We can't wait to see what ideas the community comes up with and look forward to hosting many exciting events together! 🚀
Custom practice bots (beta)
We built our own practice bot system from scratch. It supports multiple kits and practice modes so you can train solo when nobody else is online.
- Works with several kits and practice setups
- Built for CPvP, Sword, Mace, and more
- Still in testing — expect tweaks and improvements as we gather feedback
New kits & gamemodes — Cave, Boxing, MLG Rush
A major content update landed on the PvP side of the server.
- New kits added to the rotation
- Cave Fight — netherite cave PvP with crystals, pots, and cobwebs
- Boxing — classic boxing duels on the boxing map
- MLG Rush — bridge rush / MLG practice as its own gamemode
Moved to a dedicated server
We migrated to a new host with a dedicated machine. Performance improved noticeably and we gained much more freedom to run heavier gamemodes, more players, and bigger events without hitting the old limits.
Legendary 7-day Cookie Collector event
Loxy hosted the Cookie Collector — a week-long SMP-style event where players teamed up and competed to collect as many cookies as possible.
- Teams played together in a shared world for 7 days
- The winning team's total cookie count was rewarded as in-game money on HugoSMP
- One of our biggest community events to date
BedWars is live
We added BedWars as a full gamemode on the server. Queue up with friends (or strangers), defend your bed, and rush the other teams — classic BedWars, now on AvesClub.
- Play with friends or fill a match with other players
- Destroy enemy beds and eliminate teams to win
- Available on Java and Bedrock
Loxy's first streamed SMP event
Loxy hosted his first SMP on the server and streamed it live. It only ran for a few weeks, but the community loved it — lots of players showed up and it became one of those memorable early AvesClub moments.
Welcome to avesclub.net
We finally got our first domain: avesclub.net. Huge thanks to Egapeater for sponsoring it — the server finally had a proper home on the web that players could remember and share.
Bedrock support added
Bedrock players could join the same server as Java for the first time. Cross-platform play was working — a big step toward making the server accessible to everyone, not just Java Edition.
First playable build — simple duels
We got something working on the server for the first time: basic duels. Nothing fancy yet — no big kit list or custom maps — but players could actually fight each other. A small milestone that proved the idea was worth pursuing.
Project kickoff — the server is born
Loxy and Robin started building what would eventually become AvesClub. At this point it was still early days — no official name yet, just two people setting up a Minecraft server and figuring things out.
